Heritage Assisted Living...we help people with physical challenges to enjoy life as it was intended. There are many small changes to an individuals home that can improve their quality of life immensly. The past few years we have been involved with an organization known as the Deaf Blind Ontario Services. This service provides 24 hour care for physically challenged people mostly deaf or blind and in some cases, both. The work of the staff is truly amazing and appreciated by the clients themselves. I know our heritage team is completely dedicated to improve these individual's quality of life with our work. This includes installing wheelchair accessible showers, washroom handrails, grab bars, guards, and ramps within their homes. Not everyone will require these extensive modifications to their residences but some small changes can greatly improve any person's home life.
The Healthy Homes Renovation Tax Credit is a permanent, refundable personal income tax credit for seniors and family members who live with them. If you qualify, you can claim up to $10,000 worth of eligible home improvements on your tax return. The amount of money you get back for these expenses is calculated at 15 per cent of the eligible expenses you claim. For example, if you spend and then claim $10,000 worth of eligible expenses, you could get $1,500 back
This past December, I placed myself in harms way while driving my snowmobile recklessly and nearly lost my abililty to walk. I am very lucky. Honestly, now I know what it feels like to have to depend on others to assist me. I lost my independence and it was quite hard to overcome. I feel that this new business endeavour will help any person gain back their independance, confidence and quality of life. In the future, we look forward to hearing from you and to assist you in a better way of living.
